Evokayaks 2026

We are back from our traditional Evokayak retreat! This year, the event brought together a fantastic group of participants from Jagiellonian University in Kraków, the University of Łódź, and, of course, our own Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań.

Although the weekend was unfortunately rainy, the weather did not dampen our motivation or enthusiasm. We enjoyed a number of interesting presentations and discussions about our ideas, results, and ongoing projects (with the horizontal position proving to be particularly optimal for absorbing knowledge).

Several presentations clearly demonstrated the value of these meetings: projects that were discussed as ideas during previous retreats have since developed into research grants. We are keeping our fingers crossed for the next wave of ideas to materialize in a similar way.

After a fruitful scientific session, we also found time for integration and kayaking. The challenges we encountered on the river were easily overcome thanks to good collaboration, teamwork, and support from friends.
